13 year old Spatlese Riesling from one of the planet's best vineyard sites. The concentration and depth of flavor was impressive though the wine maintained the extreme sense of lightness the Mosel is known for. Definite dried mushroom/apricot notes of botrytis. Only 7% alcohol. Lots of youthful freshness but some of the tertiary petrol notes coming through. Surprisingly only a medium finish at best.

Anyone needing to age a wine for a long time, needs to collect great German Rieslings! At 14 years young, barely a hint of petrol, but jasmine & stone fruit still shines through!
