Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

I recently reviewed the 2016 Angels’ Share Shiraz, however the Gnarly Dudes packs a bigger punch. Deep and dark purple color with aromas of fresh blue/red fruits with spicy notes. The palate revealed rich ripe fruits, plum and blueberry with firm tannins and acidity to match. I noted some cacao, toasty oak, vanilla and black pepper on a lingering finish. If you open a bottle, give the wine a few minutes to let it approach it’s beauty.

Classic Barossa Shiraz with the jamminess held well in check and lifted by racy acidity. Blackberry, dark chocolate, coffee and mint and the faintest whiff of black pepper. An agile and satisfying wine

Liked this wine a lot the first time I had it. Not so much this time. A little acidic. And the balance seems to be off. Not much aromas. Should have opened this wine earlier.

Delicious and subtle. Fruity with dry finish. Nice deep purplish/blue colors. For 9.99 at Costco after 15 discount. It’s a steal. It’s worth about 15-20. Would get again. Babs liked it even more than me.
