This zin is so different from the other offerings. Mountain fruit, cab like it it's complexity and density.
Dusi 2016 was great, all the components were there.
Sadie upton 2016 had some tightness and even cinnamon. The 2015 was a big red fruited wine with tannin and acidity. Big mid palate.
The whitney tennessee was tad more elegant and less zin jam. Dogtown 15 was the jammiest of the wines I had today. Still good but more in your face. Rinaldi was rustic and solid. 2015 old vines is the value of the day. Tasting very nice right now, maybe the best of them all with it's viscosity and sweet fruit.

Very savory showing. Aromatic herbs. Meat pie. Blood. Some of the tannin you’d expect from Howell. None of the fire you get with Dragon.

Purplish ruby color. Closed black fruit nose(popped and poured). Lush black berry fruit flavors, med plus acid med plus tannins lingering finish. Sharing over brats and stewed cabbage with apple. Definitely a weekend drinker to savor.

Very jammy and pure cherry/raspberry flavor. A tongue zinger. The 2016 Zinfandel vintage is best ever!
