Alsace Riesling

Not fantastic drinking as a quaffing wine at the bar but very nice accompaniment to chilli squid and goats cheese tart with balsamic sauce.

Showin some petrol a little early, but very pleasant.

Not a huge fan of dry Riesling, but this is one of the better ones. Love the mineral expression. Blind, I would almost mistake for a sec Vouvray.

Lemon-dominant, some petrol, not hugely acidic, fairly weighty and creamy. Not terribly complex but solid for the price. Paired with "sleeping duck on a golden pond." Good cheap eats

Lovely mineral Riesling. Lime, chalk and whetstone.

Apricot. Honey. Ginger. Orange blossom.

Very steely. Typicity on the nose of petrol, Limey, lanolin, green apple. Clean, light, mineral, citric and fresh. Good developed notes on length. Good teaching Riesling

2011 vintage. Pretty bland, although there's definite hints of noble rubber aromas, as well as pineapple and pear. Unfortunately, the taste doesn't deliver just as good.

Riesling 2011
