Less earthy and more fruit forward. Think dusty strawberries and a hint of rhubarb. Very interesting and great with rich food. Yum!

Good wine. [Big! A bit shut down, weird "in-between" phase? Pretty woody. Dark.}

22 months later. Didn't look at my notes from the last bottle till it had been open for 12 hours. Interesting that I said a lot of the same. Opened seriously quiet, green and woody but not an oak woody. More like cool vintage or underripe. Feels like a minimal amount of new oak. Think we drank it too quickly a few years ago. Decanted and went back six hours later, was starting to show up. Dark black cherry. Not that I know much about Sangiovese clones, but this has me interested. Much more dark black cherry than lighter red. Getting better the longer it's open. I don't have any more but I think it's got some more time in bottle.
