Young Vines Xinomavro

Tasting Group 5/24/20. 2-meter café @ Corison Winery. My 3rd, Group 1st. Brett but still fruity. Red currants. Nice acidity

Delicious. Unity. Dark dried cherries.

Tasted blind. Really threw me for a loop. Had weight and texture of Cru Beaujolais but had a nose a bit more reminiscent of New World. Had a distinct menthol thing on the back end. Really interesting wine.

Smoky mixed with red fruit and oaky vanilla. Lots going on, but it works.

Great light dry red

Macedonian. Light and bright, predominantly red fruit. 100% xinomavro and reminiscent of a langhe Nebbiolo in its balance of acid and tannins. Just a bit lighter. $18 at Lou.
