I was expecting a heavy extraction, moderately oaked #alexandervalley #cabernetsauvignon . Tasting notes are by memory from last week but purple/black berries, some earth on the nose. The palate was a delightful surprise with velvety dark fruit yet nice balance with acidity and lovely earthy, leather and some dried herb notes I couldn’t quite place. This 2013 is probably peaking now.
