Appassimento Sangiovese

This is a bit of a supermarket staple for me. Rich cherry pie, leather and spice aromas. Sweet red fruit on the palate with a chunk of oak bringing a Christmassy note. Might be a pretty obvious wine but it stands up to anything.

Reading the other tasting notes amusing how many times this is identified as '1929 vintage.'

Fruit forward with a leathery drier finish. Very enjoyable wine

Very very good supermarket wine. Slightly sweet, full leathery fruit flavour. Superb for £8
