Ripe red fruit, round, a touch overripe, almost stewed. Plus a warm, earthy undertone.
Nice & savoury on the palate, medium bodied with a good, slightly rustic tannin profile and fresh cherry acidity. Crunchy.
The high alc (14.5% in a Chianti!) is noticeable in the finish but overall this is balanced and v. food friendly.
