Calistoga Charbono

this is now past peak. Fades from typical fruit to prunes in about an hour on opening. Still good if drink sufficiently fast

I am really digging the Charbono variety. Quite a nice offering from t-vine vineyards. 

This was a really tasty wine with scents of tobacco and blackberry. The flavors start in a way that they would be paired with barbecued meat (beef), but after 30+ minutes it opens up and spreads out to be more accessible and have some cola notes. Definitely nice.
