This wine was just stunning even in a not so great vintage, but the wines of Cathiard always have an incredible energy that is showcased in this vintage, especially from the Aux Malconsorts vineyard. Silky tannins with lovely floral note with bright red currant fruit. I have a feeling this wine will be breathtaking in a matter of a few years.

Client bought and open this but didn't like it - so he told me to drink the rest while he moved on to Richebourg. Five hours later I'm loving this. Smoky deep dark rhubarb, forest floor, graphite. Great balance and intensity. I'd like to check again in ten years. Yum.

Deep red and black cherry and berry. Powerful dark brown spices. Sappy palate. Great texture. Wow wine.

2012 Cathiard Vosne Romanee. Dinner w Erin and K at Rep. Didn’t decant. Ordered from restaurant at suggestion of Somm. Tons of red fruit right off the bat. Note to decant next time.
