2004 vintage. Received this as a gift from a wine collector friend of mine!

Decanted to leave behind sediment. Perhaps the most concentrated nose of my life. Dark fruit and detergent on the nose. Pungent heat from the nose.

Beautiful dark inky black/purple.

Pure velvet mouthfeel. Stunningly supple and smooth. Very little trace of heat on the tongue.

Blown away by the power of this wine. A huge force of velvety fruit quickly reversed by grape skin tannins. Fascinating. Burnt caramel and iodine finish.
