Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This was a fun wine that we blind tasted. The guesses ranged from Italy to France (no one thought a Napa Cab). Barnyard dirty and meaty. Don't believe there were many years left, fortunately our timing was perfect. Extremely enjoyable!

Beautiful PnP. Nice color. Spicy fruit and some of the typical band-aid notes for something 43 years old. The tannins are perfectly ripe, there is just enough structure to hold up lively blue and purple fruits. What a surprise! Drops off quickly, so drink within 15 mins of pouring.

So we pop and poured it. elegant bright and beautiful! Believe it or not this still feels like a baby. Unfortunately oxygen takes it’s toll very quickly. This wine goes downhill within minutes. Wow Napa 74!!!

No F'n way. Tasted blind and couldn't figure out whether was North Italian, Bordeaux or burgundy. To our surprise it was a 43-year-old Napa cab! Wow this one is beautiful. A defunct winery! This wine held up beautifully. Mushrooms, truffles dirty,!dirty barnyard floor. Games meat. Long finish
