Tried this as a substitute for Vicious Petite Syrah, from the same Vineyard. It's full-bodied and hits your whole tongue, but it feels a bit "flat" to me. I strongly prefer Vicious as a drink on its own wine, but think this would be a good pair with steak and blue cheese, chocolates, etc. The "flatness" it leaves in your mouth would showcase whatever flavor you're pairing.
