With every wine I suppose their is a story....but this one is special. Last night the honorable Judge and 6'7" finesse forward @Roman Sukley opened an incredibly rare and special bottled of SQN with a personal note inscribed on the bottle "made for my great friend Roman and his family and all his friends, Manfred"....not only was it an astoundingly generous gesture by Roman but the wine was spectacular and to me drank like an aged Riesling, with fantastic structure, rich kumquat, burnt honeycomb and warm apricot flavors and a long sweet and intense finish. The cork pic is residual sugar that Roman spotted and documented. The other members of crew in the photo are Roman, Doctor of wine @Charles Gudas and the beyond compare @DAG....much thanks for the new friendship, good times and amazing wines.
