Highly fragrant rose petal nose with deep red cherry, truffle, mushroom, anise, shifting to blueberry. Some alcohol on the nose as well. Thick and smooth on the palate, with surprisingly big, drying tannins on the finish. Good length of ripe red cherry on the finish along with wood notes. Took two hours to open up. A bit opulent, but a Barolo through and through.
