Last had this in 2012. The extra right years of age have somehow improved this bottle of bubbles. The carbonation bubbles aren't as tight as they were eight years ago, but they are still going strong. Yeast and green apples on the nose. Moderate acidity, strawberries with a finish off marzipan on the palate. Not as good as the Late Disgorged Reserve from a few days ago, but just an amazing wine.

Tasting Notes: “Intense aromas of rich blood orange and melon mix with subtle notes of raspberry spice and ruby grapefruit. The palate delivers a wonderful balance of spice and fruit (personal aside: SO MUCH YES!), including watermelon, oranges and ripe raspberry. A crisp and tangy finish lingers with a long, quenching acidity. (Personal aside: my last sip was about an hour ago and my mouth is still very happy, so dry yet complex and delicious). This sparkler is truly one of a kind and should be quite tasty for many years to come.”
(Aside: well, live is way too short, enjoy immediately!)
Varietal Composition: 82% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Noir
Barrel Fermentation: 34%
Alcohol: 12.7%
Suggested Retail: $170
