I have liked other Scholium Project wines, but this one is just not working for me. Too big, too hot, too jammy, and a rather funky nose. Bad bottle perhaps?

Petite Sirah aged 3 yrs in oak barrels. Dark fruit nose. Smooth, deep tannis. Dark cherry, with a hint of plum. Good mouthfeel. Lasting finish. Some richness. Ate with Albert G's BBQ for Memorial Day on back patio. Very good wine; not overly complex with multiple flavors, but the rich cherry flavor is very well done. Jarboes close out.

2007 vintage. I had this when it was released and I was not sure what was going on. Years later, this wine is fantastic!! Plummy but not too ripe with great structure. I feel like Abe may know what he's doing.
