2008 Schild Estate Barossa Shiraz - delicious dark, but balanced fruit with a long finish.

Better than their second bottling #dirtycheaters still a basic wine. Can figure how it made the list in #decantermagazine

Drink now - it's over the hill but not completely down it yet.

Just a tad bit more dry than my favorite Shiraz-Boxer by Molly Dooker. Which is not to say it is not fruit forward or jammy. Boxer is like a punch in the face of that combo. Great wine with a lot of weight.

Wine Spectator ranked it #7 of 2010 and gave it a 94. It's a good wine with nice spice, but I frankly don't see what all the fuss is about.

A top wine from Wine Spectator a few years back, #7 I think. It was challenging to wait these past few years but decided to break into it today. Great blackberry, cherry and licorice flavors as to be expected with Schild Shiraz. Nice a smooth with a big flavorful finish.

Fuk dark fruit. Subdued tannins. Plum. Long finish. Not as complex as some.
