2009 Riserva. Not my favorite style of Chianti. It's on the darker side, stylistically. Scorched earth, leather, and underbrush take the lead. There's some dark minerals and dark cherry. Dark dark dark.

Great chianti. First tasted (diff vintage) la fattoria restaurant in Tuscany. Dark, cloudy burnt red color. Misty nose, dried sour cherries but not much fruit. Not a lot of layers but pleasant with soft tannins and a nice finish.
