Deep ruby in color and very intense, with a purplish rim.

Fruity on the nose with cherries, blueberries, red currants, strawberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, metals, spices and black pepper.

Full bodied with nice long legs and high acidity.

Somewhat tart on the mid palate with cherries, strawberries, raspberries, red currants, oak, tar, licorice, leather, earth and black pepper.

Medium finish with smooth, soft tannins and sour cherries at the very end.

This is a nice Chilean Cabernet for every day. A little unbalanced, but with a nice mouth feel. Probably on its way out. I have to finish the rest of them this year, I guess. Needed one hour to open up properly.

Paired it with a Parmesan cheese plate.

Aged for 14 months in oak barrels.

14% alcohol by volume.

Good value everyday wine. If tasted blindly, I would've sworn it was a Cali or Argentina Cab. No green bell pepper component typical of the region here. Paired well with pizza.

Don't let the color fool you. Behind the ink-filled glass lies a generous mouthful of currant, clove, tar and leather. Not for the meek. Supple texture. Finishes strong. Always consistent and a solid QPR for around $20.

2011 Cabernet from Chili. Bright red color. Notes of oak and black currant. Better drank day opened. Second day taste diminishes.
