Light to med/light limpid purple... actually looks more like Pinot or Gamay in the glass. Light aromas of raspberry, tart cherry, slight metallic, and forest- floor. I like the weight, the lifted savory dryness, the lightness of the wine as it glides over the palate. Not a hint of sweet, of Jam, or over-ripeness. It caresses food, but might otherwise commit the unpardonable sin of falling into “good” rather than something more grandiose... but tonight, with good pizza and watching Biden’s speech... “good” is more than acceptable.
