I should have opened this bottle at least 5 years ago. It’s still drinkable 20 years after harvest, but barely. It’s earthy but at this stage, devoid of any interesting characteristics. No fruit left, but it was good to experience it in late life.

Smell of orange peel, red fruit, and raisin, dark burgundy in color with edge showing some brick, still very fragrant, extremely smooth with soft and sweet tannin. Silky and long finish. Cannot believe this still taste excellent over 10 years for a wine around $10. Most bang for the buck. McLaren Vale is one of my favorite area in Australia.
