Rather dark and brooding for Refosco with smoky quality. Fruit is a bit muddled on the nose but what is there so far is fairly fresh with a straight-from-the-earth character. Savory spices, pine forest, dark cassis and green vegetal aromas showing up after awhile. Fruit is slowly unwinding but tannins are fairly embedded and smooth on the palate. Give it another 2-3 years.
