Great value, juicy red and black frit, vibrant acidity, gentle tannins, 12.5% ABV, easy to drink but with enough complexity to stand up to red meat.

Production details: Fermentation in large wood casks with pied de cuve from indigenous yeas lasting ten days. Ancient technique of maceration by splinting the submerged cap (?) process which lasts for at least 90 – 100 days. The wine is then aged in a neutral oak barrel for approximately one year.

I really like this wine. It's such a classy Dolcetto. Savory and floral in a midweight style and chewy tannins. Terrific wine and amazing to have a bottle from one of the very top Barolo producers for under $20.

Would love to be drinking this #Dolcetto in Piedmont, but as I’m in New York, enjoying this #Roagna with Alessandro Masnaghetti’s 1970 Barolo map will suffice!

Dark stone fruits, licorice, mocha, raspberry and a light funkiness I can’t place my finger on but jinkies it’s great! Great mouthful of berries for the price and it paired excellently with a Pappardelle Ragu Bolognese! I will look for this a sip again and again!

This vintage seems off, but maybe it was a bad bottle. 2014 was great.

delicious. different from the 2015, more what you’d expect from a dolcetto. fresh fruit: strawberries, cherries, and cranberries. nice tannins. a bit of tartness. highly drinkable. buy again. from flatiron.

Cherry, cranberry, tea, dry and tannic but with decent acid. Not as brawny and farmy as the 2015. From Flatiron Wines.
