I’m a bit taken with this one. Sparse but tiny bubbles enveloped in creaminess in a pale lemon robe. Very autolytic on the nose with a tremendous amount of fresh baked bread to start the party off. White flowers, honey, and green apples follow before the toasted nut aromas take over. 58/28/14 CH/PN/PM, the word of the day for this is racy. Racy acidity and a sense of liveliness runs throughout.

The balance and structure take command after some time in the glass with a nice backbone of citrus fruit and minerality. Nicely dry and crisp on the palate. Soft peaches, lemons, and plenty of yeast. The faintest hint of spice of the medium finish. If tasted blind, I doubt I would have guessed England.

First taste of an English sparkling wine. Very impressed, lots in common with good quality champagne made from the same grapes.

Crips and definite. Interesting traditional sparkling wine from England. White peach, flowers and breads.

Quite lovely indeed! Snustorrt med rivig syra; surdeg, citron och lite grape. Gott. Saknar dock den där krämigheten och smakdjupet som ofta utmärker bättre champagne.
