Appassimento Piemonte Barbera

Had not heard of an apassimento Barbera, so that was a must try. Thick AM powerfull wine, a bit sweetness as expected form the dried grapjes. Bold flavours: cherries, licqourish, chocolate, bit peppery and some bayleaf. Still with tannine. It was an experiment to repeat.

Keskitäyteläinen, tummia marjoja, kevyen mausteinen, hieman hapokkuuttakin keventämässä. Erittäin hyvä grillatun ruoan kanssa!

Tuoksu tulvii makean hillomaista marjaa, etupäässä mustikkaa. Maku on pureksittavan paksu, keskitanniinen, hillomainen ja hennon mausteinen.

Nice dry wine. Great pairing with steak.

Plenty with raisins and prunes on the nose. Some slight metallic hint as well. Sweet and fruity arrival with dried dark fruits and fresh berries, especially strawberries and blackberries. More sour notes on the development but still balanced with the raisin sweetness. Some forecast fruit marmalade on the finish. A delicious wine in my opinion.

Hint of cranberry right off the top! Sweet fruit with a medium body and very dry! Really enjoyable.

Greg says this wine is bold, assaulting the middle of the tongue with unapologetic flavour. He also says it pairs well with raisins. Sarvie says this wine is slightly acidic and starts sweet but ends dry.
