Sticking to the Merlot / Cab Franc blend theme from last night’s dinner. This is very nice. Deep, dark black fruit with a nice earthy, smokiness. Consistent with Moon Mountain fruit, this is light on its feet; mid weight body and bright flavors carried by clean acidity. Should get better with some time in bottle.

Wow. I wish I could find some real "right bank" offerings like this at this price. Enough fruit. Plenty of elegance. One of our two favorites of the entire week. Can't wait to try the cab franc that went into this by itself. Told that it had decanted for several hours. Don't know if I will have that kind of patience once the cork pops.
