Good older dark scarlet color. Vibrant. Almost opaque. Pruney at first, but with adequate air the nose was exotic. Notes of black cherry, menthol, brush, slate and raspberry. Fruit is still young, Structure is noticeable but softened. This can still improve I think but is excellent today.

1994. Very good, not exceptional. Tastes as much like Burgundy as it does N. Rhone. It put up a good challenge tonight to Sean Thackery's 1994 Orion Syrah. It ended up a tie with the lamb marinated in pomegranate juice.

Soft, light red cherry Kirsch, warm stones, rose potpourri and black pepper. Some stemmy. Delicate, yet powerful.
