1997 vintage. Rich aromas of pineapple, buttercup, honey, praline/candied almonds. Well balanced and vibrant acidity. Rich and fruity with minerals and hint of smoke. Medium long finish. Very pleasant wine which still holds the typical Riesling freshness after 16 years. A good buy for anyone who wants to try an aged Riesling without spending a fortune.
