Great balance of structure and fruit. 10 years, but still not peaking.

Listen---first of all I have had many outstanding bottles of Quilceda and we all know they generally need 10 years of bottle age to start shedding their massive tannins--but at 9 years this is a harsh, camphor and cough syrup mess. Audozed for 4 hours because I was trapped without a decanter. Just a disaster in a glass last night. Most of the bottle is left so I will report back when I revisit tonight or tomorrow.

You can’t have these with Napa Cabs is what I’ve decided.

Big, big. Face full of fruit. If grapes had balls, it would taste like this, wrapped in oak. Cherries, dark cocoa. Eating a wine.

One of the best Cab Sauv's I've had out of Columbia Valley...An absolute steal at half price.

Needs time in the glass. Spicy on the finish.
