Sweet Jesus and Mary Chain! I find it ironic that Quilceda Creek's cheapest wine is so freaking good! Big tannins but smooth as silk. Bold blackberry, cigar box, cherry and spice notes on initial palette that keep going and going and going (seriously, a fews mins later I am still smacking my lips). Drink this now until 2021. Yum!!!

15.2% alc.
To my palate this is on a slightly faster maturity track than the '09 enjoyed alongside.
A good personal reference point though as I'm planning to host an extensive 12+ vintage vertical tasting of QC Estate CS soon.
(if any fellow Delectable friends from the Bay Area are interested in attending please let me know. Price/place TBD).

A lot going on in this blockbuster of a wine. $38 off mailing list and it packs a major punch. Needs food and a lot of fat to absorb the massive chocolate and dark flavors. Very concentrated but not in a fruity way.
