This is really coming into its stride - at 10 years, it’s developed all those lovely dusty secondary and tertiary characteristics of a Barolo- nose of sandalwood and memories of old leather sofa filled rooms, the colour has softened to an orangey-pink, the palate is all allusions to summers past - candied fruit, dried flowers, fennel and licorice, I could drink this every day and not feel like I was missing out on much. $67 at Halifax Port
