Singular nose of white oak bark, earth, and dark fruit. Dark fruit that is plummy and slightly cooked, with good acid and firm, but fine tannins. Lavish vanillins from new oak, with a hint of eucalyptus , and a lasting astringency that ultimately finishes new oak spicy. Quite disjointed yet.
