Based on previous experiences I must admit having concerns about where this possibly would be headed but was super pleased with the showing tonight.
For certain a BIG Chardonnay but a good minerality and nice lifting acidity at the finish makes this very enjoyable.

Big, Big, BIG.....but that's what you can expect from John Alban & Glenn Skrabanik.
I love what they do with white Rhone varietals but think Chardonnay gets a little lost at 14.9% alc.
I'll take a gamble and save my remaining bottles for 10+ years to see if they turn into something magical...??

Good but going up against Bevan. Liked this better until Bevan opened up. This is an Alban that I heard about from the WNH. Good call.

Butterscotch. Golden in color. Falls flat. Some sort of funk but not corked. New from Alban. Disappointing but perhaps misunderstood? Second bottle a few months later. Better. Same traits but seems settled. Add burnt pineapple to it.
