A wine meant to be drunk young ish for sure.

Light nose of black currant

Ripe blackberry, lady grey tea, horehound and other like roots, thicker body, yet somehow not as rounded as it should be.
An okay wine for first night.

Gave this two hours to open open before pairing with beef tenderloin with mushrooms and a mustard sauce. Full and ripe with berries, cassis, and a faint tannic grip. Not complex and the finish was a bit short, but tasted good none the less.

Splintered wood, sweet oak and ripe plums

$20 wine with $40+ taste and quality. No bite at back of tongue. Great red wine flavor and qualities and didn’t get smacked with a headache after. Would definitely get more of the same.

Girls night w/Liz, wine #2. Ran to Ottos for this at 8:55. Dry and less bold than the other one.

Blackberries. Thick and heavy wine.

Points for sheer complexity even if not my style. Loads of bell pepper, eucalyptus, bay leaf, pencil shavings, and blackberries. Needs time or rich food. It’s a lot of wine for $25.

Nose is tart cherries. leather tanins and nothing fruity on the palate. Not sweet at all and heavily dry. But savory.

Australian CS with herb flavor which is comfortable. More than 30 minutes, getting concentrated. A bit spicy. Almost 2 hours, it became mild. 2018 @850, medoc - XH, 190830-191006
