Dark deep color. Wine looks beautiful in the glass. This wine is immature but the bones are there. It’s balanced nicely and there is a fullness despite the limited age. Spicy with dark fruits. This is going to be a monster in 10 more years. Glad I tried it now but I will do my best to hold off on the remaining bottles for some time.

Pretty opaque, violet rim . Deep spice filled nose , blackberry , blackcurrant , dark cherry , floral hints . Lovely and expansive on the palate , dark blackberry and dark cherry , chocolate richness , but dry extract with marked but fine tannin and balanced acidity . Very long and filling . Nutmeg , and a meaty character after a while, with an oyster shell , mineral finish . This actually shows quite well , it’s enormous potential is clear , with time in the glass it does change quite a lot and invites you back for another try. For such a full bodied , full blooded wine it has so much completeness and harmony , there is no excess sweetness and the alcohol is balanced and seemlessly integrated . I am glad a tried it now , though I would imagine it’s best days to be 25-40 years in the future . @ Ben Ean , Hunter Valley .
