A rival for the very best wine ever made at the former Pax Wine Cellars, this stem-affected, truly cool climate Syrah-version showcase fantastic, floral aromatic, strictly flowing into a skeek, elegant and perfectly balanced palate, light on its feet, yet loaded with power, minerality and Cote Rotie references. In a word; amazing!

Friend celebrating birthday nicknamed "Magic" for his contracting/construction skills, so thought this appropriate. Drinking so well at 12.1% ABV. Blue fruit, pepper.

Along with Castelli Knight, Majik is consistently my favorite of the original Pax bottlings. Savory, tapenade, pepper, meat and dark fruit. 12.1% ABV. Could easily pass for N. Rhone.

Outstanding cool climate Syrah. Gorgeous nose of florals and white pepper. More white pepper on the palate, along with tapenade and blue fruit. Good on pop and pour, superb on day 2, down a notch on day 3. Will definitely buy again when I see a good price.
