Super interesting. Cork was almost disintegrated but fortunately wine wasn’t corked. Wine has smokey almost barbeque-like characteristics. I also get charcoal notes. Not like other northern Rhône’s I’ve had but it’s a lot older than stuff I’ve tried. Wish I was having this with some smoked brisket.

Leather, big tobacco, burnt toast. Cork was saturated but the wine is drinking as expected. What a treat! Thanks Schoon. Can’t wait to try this out of magnum

A little past prime but silky smooth and notes of smoky bacon, tart cherry, barnyard. A touch acidic and out of balance but overall a good experience Carl's place 06-02-16
