Color: medium intensity red with a slight brick tint
Nose: Clean and fully developed, aromas of sour cherry, cracked pepper, tar, meat and a crushed granite minerality.
Palate: Dry, medium+ acidity, tannin and body, medium alcohol (12.5% abv!), medium to medium+ flavor intensity of currants, red cherry, meat, tar and cracked pepper.
Quality: High, old school classic Syrah. Highly recommended

A little over 2 years since my last bottle. While 07s have been a strange lot, this bottle was utterly sublime and totally in its prime. Pop and pour. On the nose: soft cola, pine, dark black raspberry, black olive with brine....sweet and intensely savory. On the palate: fantastic acidity, excellent density and weight with olive brine, black raspberry, classic Cote Rotie. Attenuated tannin, but lovely balsamic notes, and very juicy on the finish.

Savory smoked meats, sage brush, and dried red berries. Juicy acidity still present, tannins have softened. Overall, a little on the lighter side but finishes with persistence.
