Patricia Green Cellars
Willamette Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Just concluded our annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again. Notes are somewhat brief, as my focus is relaxing and watching the Common Loons swimming and diving in the cove in front of our camp.
Nose has lemon grass, kiwi, lemon pith and green hay.
Palate has lime zest, under-ripe green melon, wheat grass and under-ripe lime.
This bottle needs a few more years, seems a little awkward right now.

Green apple and lemon, next day... a little funky.

First Patricia Green I’ve had and first Oregon Sauv Blanc I’ve had. A nice first on both fronts. It’s lighter and grassier than most CA sauv blancs and was a great pairing with smoked black drum and fresh oysters. Really want to try their pinots.

JL Oregon tasting 9/12/17. $21. Interesting color of golden hay. Grapefruit and acids on nose with that grassy notes. Very acidic on palate with bite but veering on unbalanced carrying through to finish. but just shy and stays in the lane. Still, Miss those minerals and rocks notes in the old world! Apparently they love there old world SB. 1200 cases about half the whole states production of SB.
