A rare find from my last trip to New Zealand. A fortified pinot noir from Martinborough. Fortified in '06 and then blended with the '09 vintage. You can smell and see the age in this wine. The fortification isn't overbearing. This is delicious. This was also one of the more fun tours we took that day. Spice. Plums. Liquorice. Chocolate. Yum.
