Muir Wood
Arroyo Seco Cabernet Sauvignon
Medium bodied with fruit forward flavors of black currant, berry jam, and a surprisingly long acidic finish with hints of graphite, and salted cocoa nib. While good on its own the med-high tannins made it shine when paired with a grilled NY strip steak and maple-orange roasted carrots. ($12) [3/19/16]

May 5th, 2020Nose of dark fruits and licorice. Mouthfeel is fairly velvety and smooth. Lots more berry on the taste, blackberries and spice. Acidic, finish is longish with wood and alcohol lingering. I like this a lot.
