Aug 21st, 2020Really enjoyed this wine. Pretty rich with some smoke and cherry where stood up to a meal of lamb. But also enjoyable and not too much on its own.

Delicious 3rd label from Château D'Issan and a 2015 vintage at that! Picked this bottle up at the Château this year and holding it for 6 months has certainly been tempting, so we are finally opening it! 2015s for me are like how the 2009s were in Bordeaux- such a spectacular vintage. Such an elegant, velvety style, with notes of black cherry, blackberry, sugarplum, vanilla, and slight mint and cedar characteristics. I love the 2015 margaux vintage and simply can't get enough. Enjoying a fantastic bottle with my better half and reminiscing our honeymoon to France and visiting this extraordinary Château.
