From Magnum. Had been decanted for about an hour and s half. Quite stinky which largely blew off to reveal leafy herbaceous characters with mint. Just medium bodied but such good balance and harmony. At that stage of just “damn good claret “ with nothing in particular standing out. A few years ago it was stunning and more powerful. Jancis Robinson still scores on the old 20 points score and gave this wine 19 points, a score generally reserved for 1st Growth Bordeaux and Grand Cru Burgundy. Great wine but time to drink it.

Just stunning. If you don't know and love Margaret River Cabernet, do yourself a favor and search this out. Fresh aromatics, gorgeous silky structure, aging so gracefully. A delight.

Trademark Moss Wood - leafy and herbaceous. From a very good vintage (Jancis 19/20). Would live longer but I can't see it improving. Beautifully balanced. Soft tannins medium bodied. Last of a dozen but have a magnum left. Great example of a 20 year old Marg River Cabernet.

The democratic winner of our 1995 tasting. Has been my personal Aussie Cabernet for some time. Jancis gave this vintage 19 points. Packed with all the Cabernet descriptors with the trademark Marg River herbaceousness. 19-

Possibly one of the best red wines I have ever had - very Margaret river can but no eucalyptus or mint - velvet tannins and fruit. Color like it was put in the bottle yesterday. Mentally good
