Coenobium Lazio Bianco Trebbiano Blend

Golden color, floral nose. Medium plus body. Not fruity or acidic. Oxidative. Dried bitter fruit on the palate with herbs. Not boring.

Bazooka bubble gum, tea, minerality - made by nuns! Love it!

Soft natural wine, not too sweet or acidic.

2018 vintage. Flat, aromatics where shy, thought it might come out of its shell with a little air, but it was not all that charming. I’ve had better vintages of this before.

Very dry, acidic, lemon verbena,

A middling natural white. Drinkable and pleasant with good aroma.

Not as oxidative as I remember. Delicious, as I remember.

My first go at an orange wine.
Huge fennel, anise immediately on the nose (think good old school licorice). Clove, allspice. Fruit is definitely secondary to the herbaceousness, with warm grilled pear and lemon zest. Wine rounded out a bit by day too-- still mod-high acidity, bit of tannin, mod alchohol, off-dry. Actually enjoying it quite a bit on day two.
