I like Shiraz but I found this one to be more bitter than I expected for the price. It wasn’t tannin like a big cab, but just left a bitter taste. I was eating spicy Indian so it might have been a pairing issue but I was expecting a spicy Shiraz to go well with a spicy dish

11/26/16 Thanksgiving/raiding dad's cellar. Screw cap night to prove a point. Paired with steaks and porcini mushroom risotto.

Huge wine with a punch you in the face finish. Classic Big Ausi Shiraz. Great with some Korean food but overpowering for me as standalone drinker.

2012 Vintage, extremely good, so much flavour and depth. High alcohol content is not an issue as it is very smooth. Better than 2010 vintage.

OMG! This was amazing right out of the bottle! I ordered this for my birthday and it made the night. Big berry flavor and super smooth.

$74.95 Mollydooker 'Carnival of Love' Shiraz 2011

Wine Spectator 94
"Dense, deep and complex, offering a cascade of cherry, blueberry and clotted cream flavors, with a whole range of spices on a plush texture. This has an arresting presence and finishes with pizzazz. Drink now through 2020. 6,600 cases made." –HS

Wine Advocate 93+
"Very deep green-purple in color, the 2011 Carnival of Love flaunts a very expressive and fragrant nose with floral notes, roses and potpourri intermingled with toasty black cherries, creme de cassis, chocolate, pepper and accents of cinnamon and cloves. Rich, ripe and full-bodied, this concentrated, single-vineyard 100% Shiraz retains crisp acid, has low to medium levels of soft silky tannins before finishing very harmoniously and long. Drink it from 2014 to 2022+."
