Quite possibly the best $18 bottle of wine ever. Balanced, complex. Great array of fruit, acid, body, and a minerally backbone. Had more than a few years left in it.

Medium brilliant gold. Apples, lemon cream, and wet stones on the nose. The palate mimics the nose, with a whisper of vanilla. Crisp, lingering acid and a lacy long finish. Perfect match for tonight's roasted chicken. My record say I paid about $18 at the cellar door. Hard to believe.
