I have had a few nice bottles of Moccagatta over the years but it's been a long time time since I tried one; I knew the 2010 vintage was excellent in Piedmont so I impulsively bought a couple of bottles of this and even more impulsively opened this knowing it would be young. Well, it was a bad move - this was the most tannic wine I have tasted in years and transported me back to they days when I was too impatient with bordeaux. Perhaps this will be excellent in 10 years.
