Patrick Arnould passed over 2009 & 2010, but decided to make this 2011- a strange decision on paper. This all old-vine Pinot blanc de noir has it where it counts- in the bottle. Only 60 bottles for the USA, now 59. This seems lighter than past vintages, but still has that Nutella like hazelnut character that screams Verzenay. I will wait a year or two to have my next bottle for sure... But this long wine sure did go down easy last night!
